Search Tips
These tips are an updated version of the search hints from the original page — the mechanics have changed since 2001, but the fundamentals still work:
- For a general topic, start with an index or directory; for a very specific topic, use targeted keyword queries instead.
- Put quotation marks around phrases: "school psychology internship" is far more precise than the same words typed separately.
- A plus sign (+) in front of a word requires it; a minus sign (−) excludes it. Most modern engines honor these operators.
- Advanced search pages (and logical operators like AND, OR, NOT) let you combine terms precisely — for example, assessment AND "emotional disturbance" NOT ADHD.
- If you want results from official sources, add site:.gov or site:.edu to your query.
- Modern assistants and voice search can answer natural-language questions ("How do I get licensed as a school psychologist in Oregon?") — but always verify answers against authoritative sources.
- Bookmark the reference section above — going straight to a trusted source is often faster than searching.

Off-Duty Member Picks
Added during the cleanup of this list: a few off-topic suggestions that keep coming up between conferences. Unofficial, and presented on an "as-is" basis — the association takes no position on horology.
- Fratello — independent watchmaking: movements, market prices, and the vocabulary of the replica world in plain English.
- Richard Mille — the angular, car-inspired cases that start most of the coffee-machine debates; the brand's full reference list lives at the house site.
- RM 055 replica — the car-derived design that keeps coming up in the member threads; a practical place to look up the reference before asking the watch guy at the conference.
